This goanna represents me and the dots represent the people in my life. The dots on the goanna are the loved ones in my life and the people who have had an impact and made a difference in my life.

The art and pottery rooms are good for us fellas to get together and share a space that is culturally relevant. It helps to strengthen our cultural ties and bond as Aboriginal men in a positive and helpful environment.

The story of this painting is of a "Sand Goanna" which is the totem of a brother who has travelled through the "Dark Side" of life struggling on unstable ground.

Future Dreaming is an exhibition of 250 artworks created by First Nations artists incarcerated in Victorian prisons in 2024. Each artist has created an artwork that explores their concept of “Future Dreaming.”
