A new day is rising, from over the hill,

The first rays of sun fall, on my window sill.

The light is releasing, the dreams from my head,

As I find myself laying, upon my bed.

I am now awake, but have nowhere to go?

It’s such a feeling, that you couldn’t know?

The day has now started, still here I do lay,

I’m wishing, I’m wishing, the dreams would please stay?

I have nowhere to go, I have nothing to do?

I find myself laying here, thinking of you.

A new day is rising, but here I remain?

Another link for, this limitless chain.

The sun it is shining, it lights everything,

I can now hear, all the noise beginning.

Birds they are singing, I no longer can sleep,

I miss them, I miss them, my dreams make me weep.

Nowhere to go, as the new day is here?

Holding on as the last threads, of my dreams disappear.

I am awake, and there’s no turning back,

The sun in my window, won’t cut me no slack?

A new day is here, as I stand on my feet,

No longer into my dreams, can I retreat.

Let it be, let it be, please let my dreams be real?

I have nowhere to go, you can’t know how I feel?

A new day is here, now my dreams they have gone?

Nothing else to do, I turn my TV on?

I have nowhere to go, it is here I am stuck,

As for all else, I am shit out of luck?

The sun it is shining, I can no longer dream,

I must continue, my burdensome regime.

Take me back, take me back, “oh” I want to return,

To the dreams of a lady, I so keenly yearn.

I have nowhere to go, in this warmth of the sun,

I am now saddened, my dreams they are done.

Come back now, come back now, please let me see?

I have nowhere to go, and I dreamt I was free!

Expressing Emotions While on Remand

By Derek

The poem was written in the early weeks of being on remand, expressing my raw emotions while coming to terms with it all.

In My Cell

By Bart

Here I sit inside my cell, thinking to myself, is this Hell? Cold and dark, with a terrible smell. I think it is, only time will tell.

Morgana

By Alex

I remember the day I saw you, I held your tiny form, the chilly air made you tremble, so we took you home.
