For Rich or For Poor, Sickness And In Health

By

Courtney

Courtney’s art is from Somebody’s Daughter Theatre Company Workshops and Art Exhibition, operating out of Dame Phyllis Frost Centre and Tarrengower, Victoria

For rich or for poor, sickness and in health, By Courtney, Acrylic on canvas, 2024

I saw a picture and followed it to help with the outline, then after that I went with what was in my mind about colours, lines, shadows, details. This picture really resonates with me.

To me it means hard work and rough times, you have to work for what you want and there will always be barriers and things/people trying to bring you down. Some people wear their hard work and rough times on the outside but all of us wear it on the inside.

I Am Tired

By Anthony

Tired from being told what to do. I am tired of love, tired of being deemed guilty, tired of my own remorse. I am tired of my own self-doubt, my own shadows and especially tired of my own face.
