The decay of an atom indicates that time itself has passed, it is the origin of our concept of time.

‍

However time is relative, for me it ends every night once my mind is set to rest, upon my pillow where my head lays.

‍

A place in which all my emotions, my thoughts, my feelings, my memories and moments fade, into a tranquil darkness I travel through time I drift away.

‍

In this place I hold as sacred all my problems and worries die, even the identity I so dearly nurture no longer confines me, I see places I have not been, people I have not met and form memories I know well have not taken place.

‍

For are we not all just bears of a dream we’re too frightened to live or wake,in a world upon which time holds us to age waiting ever so patiently to cast our ends in judgment.

‍

For is not life but a memory of a moment waiting to be forgotten in a time we are yet to forget.

‍

Like a dream upon which one travels through in a place one claims to know.

‍

No hands of such a beast can be tamed nor can such burden be held in one’s heart.

‍

So let us not confuse the time one has traveled with the places one has not.

‍

For in the memory of death we wake to a dream of a life we are yet to live.

‍

For in the memory of life we sleep in a dream of a death we are yet to wake.

‍

Until that time one will travel, in a place you can not escape.

‍

Where time is the owner of souls so shy they would travel to their graves.

‍

In the slumber of life they dream of a love they can not forsaken for my heart beats in a dream time travels to take.

Time, for me, was at first just “the clock on the wall” at high school. When is lunch? When will this test finish? And when is home time?

Our time machine doesn’t take the form of a Tardis, or DeLorean, yet it does represent an equally large figure in pop culture and science fiction (at least those forced into hard labour on a mining planet colony usually got a spectacular view of the galaxy around them).
