To Whom It May Concern,

You had an article in the October issue about how someone was getting between $40 to $50 a week when they were working. What about the prisoners that are counted as medically unfit for work? In QLD if that is you, all you get is $17.35 per week, $9.85 for amenities and $1.22 for five days unemployment. Out of that, $17.35 you pay $2 per week. to rent a television and also there is whatever amount you put on the phone. You have to pay for that. As you can see there is not much cash to spend. So there is always someone worse off than you.

Autism and Mental Illness: Prison Isn’t the Right Place

By Garry

I would just like to mention a few things I’ve noticed around prison regarding inmates with both autistic and mental illness traits. Who says these inmates are right to go to prison and not a hospital?
