David is a writer currently incarcerated in New South Wales. Some 50 years ago, David was an alcoholic priest. He has been sober for about 40 years, during which time he often worked as a drug and alcohol counsellor, including at Long Bay Correctional Centre. David spends much of his time listening to the (usually traumatic) stories of other inmates. He offers an empathetic listening ear to those in need.
